BIN code resolving via third-party service

Now users of Boxopay’s Payment Gateway can obtain information about the customer’s card issuer using a third-party service. Standard and extended BIN codes up to 9 characters long can be checked.

The new feature allows decrypting card data based on up-to-date information about its issuer. At the same time, you do not need to waste your time and resources on maintaining the BIN codes tables up to date manually.

If BIN code resolving using an external service is impossible, the Payment Gateway will use the built-in database.

For additional control, in the “Issuer” block of the order info, a “Source of information” field is now displayed, and requests to an external service are recorded in the provider log.

An example of requesting an external service

Request:

curl 'https://exampleurl.com' -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' --data
{
   "pan":"4111111111111111"
}

Response:

200 OK
{
  "bin":"41111111",
  "card_type":"visa",
  "product":"CREDIT",
  "category":"GOLD",
  "currency":"USD",
  "country":"CAN",
  "title":"Bank name"
}

Viewing a merchant report using different exchange rate tables

To make it more convenient to generate merchant reports on transactions made with currency conversion, a new feature has appeared in the form of a comparative table of rates. This table will be helpful if different exchange rates are used when making transactions.

To fill in exchange rate reports, you must have the primary (system) and at least one individual exchange rate on the specified date. The tables are available in the “Operations” and “Reconciliations” menu items of the platform.

To generate a comparison table for transactions from the “Operations” list, do the following:

  1. Create the required selection by setting a filter by date or reconciliation ID, after which the new item “Course Report Comparison Table” will appear below the filters.
  2. Click this item to go to the options for building a comparison table for filtered transactions. To create a table, specify the names of course tables A and B and their corresponding dates.

When working with the “Operations for reconciliation” list, you can create a selection to build a comparison table based only on the Reconciliation ID. At the same time, tables are available only for reconciliations with the “checked” status.

Processing information about the client certificate passed from Cloudflare

Payment Gateway now supports working with client certificates generated on the Cloudflare side. It can automatically generate certificates and check the used certificate’s requisites. The new feature will allow you to use the Payment Gateway hosted in the Cloudflare cloud environment, adhering to the Zero Trust security concept.

To switch to the mode of working with certificates generated on the Cloudflare side, you need to add the cookie mode setting and specify the path to the file with Cloudflare public keys for certificate verification.

MO/TO transactions support in Decta driver

Payment Gateway users can now conduct MO/TO (mail order/telephone order) transactions to receive payment for goods and services with payment cards for orders by mail or phone through DECTA processing.

To use this feature in the terminal used to connect to the Decta, the “MOTO transaction mode” field must be set to the appropriate mode (MO, TO, none). By default, โ€œMOTO transaction modeโ€ is disabled (none)

Depending on the card type, the use of CVC2/CVV2 for MO/TO transactions may or may not be mandatory.

CVC2/CVV2 usage table for MO/TO transactions

Mail order Telephone order
Visa CVV2 is not mandatory CVV2 is mandatory
Mastercard CVC2 is not mandatory CVC2 is not mandatory
Maestro CVC2 is mandatory CVC2 is mandatory

Single-stage purchases, refunds and AFTs with Visa via Boxopay End-to-end Processing

Payment Gateway users can now make single-stage purchases, refunds, and AFTs with Visa using Boxopay End-to-end Processing.

To use the new features in the terminal used to connect to Boxopay End-to-end Processing, the flags for working in Single Stage and Visa Direct mode must be checked.

Also, Payment Gateway users can now send additional info about the sender (name, address, city, country) and the recipient (name, surname) of AFT.
