In the last month of 2024, the Boxopay team delivered 3 releases, focusing on enhancing the user experience, expanding integration capabilities, and optimizing system performance. Key updates include integration with a new payment provider, improved tools for merchants, and various fixes to ensure platform stability.

Key highlights

Integration with SIBS MB WAY

We are excited to announce a new integration with SIBS MB WAY, Portugal’s leading mobile wallet with over 5 million users.ย  This integration provides a seamless payment experience, including redirecting users to payment confirmation and supporting webhook-based updates for order status. By incorporating MB WAY, merchants can now offer a widely adopted payment method in Portugal, enhancing convenience for their customers.

Enhanced reporting

A new filter for the Merchant funds in the system report allows displaying only active merchant balances, improving the accuracy and relevance of financial reporting. Unified file format options for exported reports ensure consistency with enrollment files, streamlining data integration processes and facilitating subsequent analysis.

Advanced ATB payment handling

Payments through cards tokenized in Apple Pay are now supported, offering merchants expanded options for seamless mobile transactions. Enhanced retry logic for 3-D Secure authentication ensures more reliable payment processing, reducing disruptions caused by provider delays.

Support for the new merchant interface

Automatic redirection to the new merchant interface has been enabled, facilitating a smoother transition to the updated system. This change minimizes downtime and ensures merchants can quickly adapt to improved functionalities.

System performance monitoring enhancements

Added new attributes for segmented performance metrics monitoring, enabling detailed comparative analysis and automatic notifications based on predefined rules for specific segments like terminal, merchant, or card type. These alerts allow administrators to quickly address potential performance issues.

Role management

The gateway’s web admin interface now supports multiple role inheritance, automatically aggregating permissions from assigned roles to reflect their combined capabilities. Additionally, priority rules for role-based actions have been established, ensuring that when conflicting permissions arise, higher-priority roles take precedence. This enhancement streamlines and automates permission management for complex organizational hierarchies.

Minor updates and bug fixes

Payment processing

  • Support for passing the Merchant Payment Gateway ID in the WorldLine.
  • Ability to count 3-D Secure return URL attempts.
  • Validation and customization of order descriptions are now configurable.

Webhooks and notifications

  • New webhook notifications for expired orders.
  • Improved handling of declines from Millikart.

Also, several bug fixes improved system stability and reliability, including enhancements to card payment processing, corrections in webhook operation for status updates, and better handling of merchant data synchronization. These updates ensure smoother integrations, more accurate reporting, and a more seamless user experience across the platform.
