July introduced a wide range of updates to the Boxopay white-label payment gateway, including new Open Banking integrations, expanded payout capabilities, and multiple enhancements to reporting, compliance, and recurring payments. Several backend improvements also helped streamline merchant operations and improve reliability across payment flows and the admin interface.

New payment integrations

Integration with myXspend

Boxopay now supports Open Banking payments through myXspend, allowing merchants to offer seamless redirect-based checkout experiences. The integration supports one-stage payment flows, a configurable waiting period, and automatic fallback to webhook completion if the user doesn’t return after in-app confirmation.

Integration with BirPay

A new integration with BirPay adds more regional flexibility for Open Banking payments. Once enabled, merchants can embed BirPay checkout buttons using generated URLs. The integration includes automatic status tracking and supports both successful and refunded payment flows, even if confirmation happens later via webhook. Configuration includes authentication credentials and maximum retry logic for refunds.

Enhanced payout capabilities

Single payouts via new merchant API

A new endpoint enables single-card payouts directly from the merchant’s account, accessible through the new merchant API. OCT (Original Credit Transfer) payouts can also be initiated through a checkout link by including a payout flag in the API request. Access is controlled through role permissions and project settings.

Mass payouts to cards

Merchants can now process mass payouts directly from their Boxopay interface. Batches can be uploaded, previewed, and deleted before processing. The admin panel provides a clear overview of all batches and related orders. Batch uploads follow a standardized CSV format and support scheduling via Tasker, allowing flexible automation of outbound transfers.

Improved recurring and one-click payments

Updated OpenWay Way4 recurring payment logic

The OpenWay Way4 driver has been updated to align with the provider’s current specifications. This includes the ability to specify recurring frequency and expiration dates, pass browser dimensions and mobile numbers, and enable transliteration of client names for smoother processing. Errors from outdated request formats have been resolved.

Expanded merchant and financial reporting

Export to CloudBank via Kafka

Administrators can now export merchant cashflow data to the CloudBank core banking system via Kafka, enhancing banking partner integration and simplifying reconciliation.

Additional fields in merchant reports

Merchant reconciliation reports now include card type and issuer country. The PDF format has been improved to reflect merchant accounting currency, ensure consistency between summary stats and line items, and correctly display processing fees. A new report type focused on declined authorizations has been introduced, offering aggregated data on total operation and fee amounts.

Administrative tools and automation

Advanced scheduling for turnover calculations

A new option allows customizing the time window used in monthly turnover calculations. Administrators can now define the upper boundary offset (e.g., -5h, -1d) relative to execution time, improving control over contract switching logic based on recent transaction volumes.

Minor updates and bug fixes

• Support for applying same-day exchange rates via custom timestamps in the rate loading utility.
• Improved logic for handling locked orders in multi-application setups, reducing the number of manually investigated cases.
• Improved project sorting by payout eligibility in the new merchant API.
• Logging of Content Security Policy violations on the payment page to strengthen monitoring and maintain secure checkout performance.
